Research Fellow – 3D/4D Vision and Generative AI

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance cutting‑edge work in 3D/4D scene reconstruction, rendering, and generative AI for video and 3D content. The role involves leading innovative projects, publishing in top‑tier venues, and contributing to open‑source releases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on 3D/4D scene reconstruction and rendering techniques such as NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and novel view synthesis.
• Develop generative AI models for video, 3D/4D generation, world models, and vision‑language‑action systems, supported by large‑scale data pipelines.
• Publish findings in leading conferences/journals, release open‑source code, mentor junior researchers, and report project progress.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, AI, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Strong research record in computer vision or machine learning with solid programming abilities.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive, and a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
