Research Fellow – Active Mobility & Health Behaviour

About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU seeks a Research Fellow to lead a multidisciplinary project on active commuting, health communication, and behavioural change in Singapore. You will design, implement, and evaluate research that quantifies health benefits of walking, cycling, and public‑transport use and translates these insights into policy‑relevant recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Design and validate surveys, focus‑group guides, experimental stimuli, and behavioural intervention materials.
- Prepare and submit ethics applications (IRB) and ensure compliance with data‑governance standards.
- Conduct mixed‑methods studies, including wearable‑device validation and field experiments.
- Develop recruitment strategies and oversee data collection for quantitative and qualitative components.
- Manage and analyse large‑scale datasets using statistical and econometric techniques.
- Produce technical reports, policy briefs, presentations, and academic papers.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance theoretical and applied objectives.
Required profile
- PhD in behavioural science, transport studies, psychology, public health, economics, communication, data science or a related field.
- Strong expertise in quantitative research methods; mixed‑methods experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage complex research projects and adhere to ethical standards.
