Research Fellow – AI, Computer Science & Data Science

About the role

The Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights & Interventions (HABITS) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to support AI‑driven digital health projects. The role combines project management, technical development and collaboration with clinicians and biostatisticians.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and deploy AI algorithms for digital health research.
• Lead technical innovation by exploring emerging AI methodologies.
• Support data platform development and conduct retrospective data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, coordinators and biostatisticians to deliver project outcomes.
• Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present results to stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and research updates for project leadership.
• Mentor junior AI researchers and contribute to team capability building.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• Entry‑level candidates with demonstrated expertise in AI, machine learning or digital health technologies.
• Strong experience applying AI solutions to real‑world healthcare challenges.
• Good understanding of clinical research and healthcare data.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
