Research Fellow – Computer Engineering / CS / Electronics

About the role

NTU Singapore’s College of Computing and Data Science is seeking a Research Fellow to lead innovative projects in computer engineering, computer science, and electronics engineering. The role involves formulating research problems, conducting cutting‑edge experiments, and translating findings into real‑world applications such as cyber‑security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and define research problems and develop effective solutions.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish results in reputable venues, and present findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and mentor junior students on their projects.
• Assist in deploying advanced solutions to practical settings, particularly in cyber‑security.
• Monitor project progress, report outcomes, and initiate collaborative research initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to design hypotheses, plan experiments, and execute innovative research.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the project domain (computer engineering, computer science, or electronics engineering).
• Expertise in experimental design, modelling methods, and data analysis.
• Ability to initiate and manage multidisciplinary collaborations.
