About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance the NRF Investigatorship project on interpretable and automated cryptanalysis. The role combines cryptography research with machine‑learning interpretability, supporting tailor‑made cryptographic design.

Key responsibilities

Conduct independent research in cryptography and/or machine‑learning interpretability.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for the project stakeholders.
Publish findings in relevant conferences and peer‑reviewed journals.

Required profile

PhD in Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science or a closely related field.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong initiative.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in symmetric cryptanalysis/design or state‑of‑the‑art explainable AI solutions is a strong plus.
