About the role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance the NRF Investigatorship project on interpretable and automated cryptanalysis. The role combines cryptography research with machine‑learning interpretability, supporting tailor‑made cryptographic design.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in cryptography and/or machine‑learning interpretability.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for the project stakeholders.
- Publish findings in relevant conferences and peer‑reviewed journals.
Required profile
- PhD in Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong initiative.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in symmetric cryptanalysis/design or state‑of‑the‑art explainable AI solutions is a strong plus.
