About the role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to lead educational research and development in higher mathematics education. The role involves collaboration with the National Institute of Education (NIE) and other NTU units to enhance teaching and learning practices.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement a short‑term research and development project focused on higher mathematics education.
- Collaborate with NIE, NTU faculty, and external partners to design and deliver pedagogical innovations.
- Develop and submit grant proposals to sustain long‑term research activities.
- Communicate project outcomes through internal reports, publications, and external presentations.
Required profile
- PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s tertiary education landscape, preferably with teaching or tutoring experience.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and creativity in addressing complex educational challenges.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
