About the role

The Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) at NTU is looking for a Research Fellow to work on mission decomposition and real-time mission planning and replanning. The position is based at the NTU Main Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out literature research on stochastic optimal control (STOA) of mission decomposition.
• Develop an efficient modeling framework that captures a range of operational requirements and uncertain environments.
• Develop an efficient mission analysis and decomposition method.
• Apply the developed modeling and decomposition methods in a simulation testbed.
• Publish research results in reputable journals and conferences, in particular ICRA.
• Assist the project principal investigator in coaching research students.

Required profile

• PhD degree in a relevant field, with past research focused on formal methods, modeling and analysis of complex operations under uncertainty.
• Strong publication record in the relevant fields.
• Proficiency in English is essential to carry out the research.
• Knowledge of modeling, simulation and analysis of sea operations is a plus.
