About the role
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance novel nanophotonic device structures. The role combines theoretical and experimental work to push the frontiers of photonic technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct theoretical and experimental research on innovative nanophotonic device structures.
- Design and implement nanophotonic components such as topological lasers, detectors, and waveguides.
- Develop, test, and validate nanophotonic devices to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to explore practical applications of the developed technologies.
- Prepare high‑quality research publications and present findings at conferences and seminars.
Required profile
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and simulating novel nanophotonic device structures.
- Ability to conduct independent research and contribute to collaborative projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
