Research Fellow – Structural Biology (CryoEM & X‑ray)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Research Fellow to join the laboratory of Assistant Professor Sho Suzuki at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Biological Sciences. The role focuses on structural analysis of bridge‑like lipid transfer proteins to advance understanding of neurodegeneration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute independent research projects within a multidisciplinary program.
• Purify proteins, perform in‑vitro assays and conduct Cryo‑EM structural studies.
• Lead manuscript preparation and present findings at international conferences.
• Co‑mentor graduate students and research staff.
• Maintain regular communication with principal investigators and collaborators.

Required profile

• PhD in structural biology, biochemistry or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with both Cryo‑EM and X‑ray structural analysis.
• At least one first‑author publication in a peer‑reviewed journal.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
