Research Fellow, Systems Neuroscience

About the role

The Tsukasa Kamigaki lab at LKCMedicine, NTU, investigates the brain mechanisms underlying executive functions and their dysfunction in ageing and psychiatric diseases using mice. The Research Fellow position focuses on systems neuroscience, working on a project that uses state-of-the-art neuroscience approaches including calcium imaging, optogenetics and electrophysiology in behaving mice.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out a research project that integrates neuroscience technologies, including neurophysiological measurements and manipulations in behaving mice, and data analysis.
• Author research manuscripts for international peer-reviewed journals and collaborate with international research partners.

Required profile

• PhD in systems neuroscience or a related field.
• Demonstrated track record of independent research problem-solving and willingness to undergo training in advanced imaging platforms.
• Proven ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary team projects.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Prior experience in in-vivo neuroscience experiments is a plus.

• Programming and data analysis skills such as MATLAB, Python and R.
