Research Scientist – Quantum Sensing

About the role

The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology at Temasek Laboratories, NTU, is seeking a Research Scientist to advance solid‑state quantum sensor development. You will work on cutting‑edge projects involving colour centres in diamond and contribute to the lab’s strategic research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and characterise solid‑state quantum sensors in consultation with the Principal Investigator.
• Set up and maintain laboratory instrumentation and experimental protocols.
• Document experiments, lead project meetings, and coordinate with collaborators.
• Assist the PI in training lab staff and students and ensure operational integrity of the facility.
• Support the preparation of publications, proposals, and reports related to the lab’s mission.

Required profile

• PhD in physics, engineering, materials engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in quantum‑related research is advantageous.
