Restaurant Assistant Manager – Japanese Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Restaurant Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our Japanese restaurant brand across Singapore. Reporting to the General Manager, you will help ensure smooth front‑of‑house service and uphold our high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily floor operations to guarantee efficient service.
• Supervise front‑of‑house staff, manage scheduling and conduct pre‑shift briefings.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues on the spot.
• Monitor cash handling, POS reconciliation, and opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Support inventory checks and ordering of front‑of‑house supplies.
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
• Act as deputy for the General Manager during their absence.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or F&B setting.
• Experience in a Japanese restaurant is preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Hands‑on, team‑oriented leadership style.

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS systems.
