Restaurant Cook – Indian & Bangladeshi Cuisine

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Cook to lead the preparation of North and South Indian as well as Bangladeshi dishes in a high‑volume kitchen. You will ensure that every meal meets our quality standards and is ready for service on time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate daily kitchen operations, including budgeting, food and labour costing, and stock control.
• Cook a wide range of Indian (vegetarian and non‑vegetarian) and Bangladeshi dishes for 500‑1000 pax per day.
• Maintain menu creation, quality control, and cost management in a volume‑food environment.
• Train and support junior staff, oversee kitchen hygiene, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory, waste, and storage temperature for fresh and frozen products.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of culinary experience in an Indian kitchen, preferably in a high‑volume restaurant or catering setting.
• Ability to work rotating/split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and handle fast‑paced service.
• Strong knowledge of traditional North & South Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines, including prata making.
