Risk & Compliance Manager, PFA (1 Year Contract)

About the role

Prudential is hiring a Risk & Compliance Manager on a one-year contract. The role ensures the company operates within legal boundaries, follows regulations and maintains ethical standards, covering regulatory compliance, risk assessment and the design and implementation of risk and compliance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement company policies, group requirements and regulations, and integrate regulatory requirements into business plans and processes.
• Advise business units on insurance industry regulations and keep procedures up to date with new regulations, consultation papers and pronouncements.
• Identify risks to reputation, information security and operations, and work with business functions to document controls and mitigate them.
• Assist in managing internal audit reviews and monitoring control systems for violations of regulations and internal policies.
• Review processes relating to data privacy, regulatory, sales compliance and financial crimes requirements.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to governance forums and undertake ad-hoc tasks, projects or reviews as directed by the Head of Risk and Compliance.

Required profile

• At least 6-8 years of experience in risk and/or compliance roles, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Familiarity with the Financial Advisers Act, MAS Codes, Notices, Guidelines and AML/CFT regulations.
• Exposure to the Financial Advisers sector, regulatory compliance and risk management is highly valued.
• Degree in any discipline.
