Risk Management and Finance Consultant – Banking & Capital Markets

About the role

PwC's Risk Services Practice offers advisory and practical support to banking and capital markets clients on financial and non-financial risks, including solutions built around AI, technology and data analytics. As a Risk Management and Finance Consultant, you will work as a risk management generalist, solving complex risk, finance and reporting challenges and overseeing system implementation projects. The role suits candidates with experience in banking and capital markets regulatory requirements and strong stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex risk management, finance and reporting challenges with knowledge of risk and regulatory domains, especially MAS and international banking regulations
• Work with technology partners to deliver innovative solutions, using data analytics, technology tools and AI to improve client risk management and reporting
• Oversee system implementation projects that address business needs and regulatory requirements
• Lead high-performing teams and drive transformation programs across banking segments, delivering on time and within scope
• Run engagements through analysis of regulatory and business requirements, workshops, report writing, presentations and user acceptance testing
• Communicate clearly with diverse audiences, turning complex information into actionable insights

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in banking and capital markets risk management, in professional services, consulting or the banking/capital markets industry
• Experience managing transformation programs and navigating organisational change
• Ability to design solutions that combine business and technology for banking clients
• Good understanding of international and local banking regulatory requirements
• Team player with good communication, EQ and ability to thrive in a high-performing environment
