Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Safety Coordinator will oversee daily EHS inspections, ensure compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health regulations, and promote a safe working environment on construction sites for Shun Yi Cheng Contract Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and address non‑compliances with EHS standards.
• Lead toolbox talks, risk‑impact assessments and Permit‑To‑Work procedures.
• Assess high‑risk construction activities and authorize work commencement based on safety compliance.
• Maintain EHS records, documentation and checklists.
• Monitor workers' performance on safe work practices.
• Assist in reviewing and advising risk‑impact assessment formulations.
• Recommend corrective actions to supervisors and, if necessary, suspend unsafe work.

Required profile

• Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator certificate (SCTC or Advanced Certificate) from an approved MOM provider.
• Work‑at‑Height Assessor course or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH (Construction) Regulations and related legislation.
• Experience handling site administration and EHS documentation.
