Safety Officer – Semiconductor Industry

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our semiconductor operations in Singapore. You will ensure a safe working environment across multiple project sites, complying with local regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, MOM regulations and internal safety policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, monitor and update safety procedures, risk assessments and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions and training for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, produce reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, permits and statutory reports.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and support project teams in maintaining a safe environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Health or related field.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, semiconductor or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MOM WSH regulations, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, Permit‑to‑Work and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
