Sales Engineer, Modernization

About the role

The Sales Engineer, Modernization works with new KONE customers, proactively targeting modernization opportunities outside the current customer base. The role sells modernizations, full replacements, Advanced People Flow Solutions and other digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage customer relationships in the assigned area.
• Generate leads and sales opportunities, including cross‑selling across the KONE sales team.
• Handle RFQs, negotiate contracts and ensure pricing aligns with approved tendering tools.
• Maintain accurate opportunity data, sales funnel management and CRM reporting.
• Gather market and competitor information from the field.
• Support finance in money collection and drive execution of the individual sales plan.

Required profile

• Experience in sales and/or customer service, preferably with solution‑selling methodology.
• Proven ability to sell complex technology solutions and use value‑based pricing.
• Comfort with digital solutions and modern sales tools.
• Strong analytical mindset; numbers and facts drive actions.
• Ability to identify customer needs and match them with KONE solutions.
