Sales Manager - MICE & Events

About the role

A dynamic and commercially driven sales leader with a passion for MICE and events, who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership to inspire high‑performing teams and build lasting client relationships in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the MICE & Events Sales team to achieve departmental revenue, profitability and business objectives.
• Drive the implementation of Hyatt Events standards across MICE sales, event sales, profitability and marketing.
• Ensure effective use of the hotel’s system and maintain accurate sales agreements, contracts and quotation records.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, pricing initiatives and tactical promotions in collaboration with Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management.
• Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, citywide convention planning, telemarketing and industry networking.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders while representing the hotel at trade shows and business events.
• Maximise cross‑selling and upselling opportunities, and optimise overall sales performance.
• Champion Hyatt’s Purpose and Values while maintaining compliance with Hyatt standards, company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MICE, Events or Hotel Sales with a strong track record of delivering revenue growth.
• Solid understanding of MICE sales strategy, event planning and hotel commercial operations.
• Experience in leading, coaching and developing junior team members.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse business performance, identify opportunities and implement effective sales strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship‑building skills with both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Confidence working with sales systems, reporting tools and the hotel’s CRM platforms.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and driving operational excellence.
• Willingness to represent the hotel at industry events and travel when required.
