Sales Support Technician – Paint Lab (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Support Technician to provide technical and laboratory assistance to the sales team and customers. The role focuses on paint preparation, colour matching, recipe management, sample preparation and technical service support, ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, withdraw and re‑pack paint samples according to sales and customer specifications, ensuring proper labelling and storage.
• Perform colour matching for water‑based and solvent‑based paints, evaluate accuracy and adjust formulations to meet standards.
• Develop, adjust and document colour recipes, proposing modifications to achieve repeatable results.
• Produce wet paint samples and dry panels as requested, maintaining consistency and meeting timelines.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, assist with customer inquiries, product evaluations and technical requests.
• Support site visits and investigate customer complaints, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards, keep laboratory equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• Comply with HSE requirements, laboratory procedures and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in paint, coatings, colour matching, laboratory or technical service is advantageous.
• Good understanding of laboratory practices and chemical handling.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in colour matching and recipe preparation.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑oriented with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with sales and internal teams.
• Willingness to support customer or site visits when required.
