Senior Accountant – Japan Focus (Japanese required)

About the role

This senior accountant position is based in Singapore and supports Crocs Japan within a regional finance team covering China, Japan, and Korea. The role ensures accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and reliable financial data for the business while collaborating across finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve AR, AP, and GL transactional processing.
• Verify journal entry requests and ensure correct GL accounts, trading partners, and tax codes.
• Perform and review account reconciliations across entities, including intercompany balances.
• Coordinate with Treasury on settlement requirements and with Tax on direct and indirect tax bookings.
• Manage vendor and supplier applications and obtain ERP approvals.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities and ensure assets and liabilities are recorded accurately.
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP, SOX controls, and internal policies.
• Identify and drive process improvements, training recommendations, and procedure updates.
• Collaborate with regional peers, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, AR/AP, and Internal Audit teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 6‑8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international organization.
• Business‑level proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
