Senior Agentforce Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Salesforce is looking for a highly accomplished, senior-level Agentforce Forward Deployed Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead complex AI agentic deployments. The role combines hands-on implementation of bespoke AI solutions with leading technical engagements and mentoring junior peers, working closely with strategic clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end technical delivery of complex AI solutions, writing critical code, configuring systems and troubleshooting, while guiding and reviewing junior team members.
• Design, develop and implement scalable production systems, including AI and LLM-based intelligent agents and automated workflows on the Salesforce platform.
• Build custom intelligent agents with customers using the Agentforce platform, meeting their unique business requirements.
• Own the data lifecycle, from data model design to processing pipelines and integration strategies.
• Resolve complex technical blockers, debug and perform root cause analysis on system interactions, data flows and AI model behaviour.
• Lead rapid prototyping, build proofs of concept and MVPs, and advocate engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, security and maintainability.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to client teams, translating their needs into technical requirements and solution designs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on, end-to-end delivery experience for scalable production solutions.
• Strong background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven ability to lead technical engagements, mentor juniors and travel 25-50% of the time to customer sites.
• Preferred: prior customer-facing technical lead or architect role, and experience in highly regulated industries.

Required skills

• Expert-level proficiency in one or more languages such as JavaScript, Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies, including LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering and agentic frameworks.
• Data modelling, processing and integration, with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks and BigQuery.
• Significant direct experience with the Salesforce platform, including advanced configuration, customisation and complex development.
• Preferred: Apex and Python, Salesforce Flows, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce certifications.
