Senior AI/ML Architect – Applied Field Engineering

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a senior AI/ML architect to lead applied field engineering initiatives across the APJ region. The role blends technical leadership with hands‑on solution design, helping customers adopt AI and ML capabilities on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert presenting Snowflake’s AI/ML features to technical stakeholders at customer sites.
• Partner with account teams and customer champions to scope, execute, and drive successful POCs and executive readouts.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the AI/ML roadmap based on customer feedback.
• Publish technical content such as blog posts, conference presentations, notebooks, and demos.
• Maintain and tailor sales‑engineering AI/ML assets, including presentations, demos, and customer stories.

Required profile

• 10+ years building and deploying machine‑learning solutions and 3+ years delivering generative AI in the cloud.
• Hands‑on experience with MLOps, feature stores, model deployment, explainability, and observability.
• Deep knowledge of Python and ML libraries (LangChain, pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch) and data‑engineering tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark).
• Strong presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or equivalent experience preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with generative AI techniques such as RAG, few‑shot learning, prompt engineering, and fine‑tuning.
• Familiarity with LLM ecosystem tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, other OSS packages).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Snowflake’s data‑warehouse services.
• Knowledge of large‑scale database technologies (Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum).
