Senior Analyst/Head, Credit Assessment

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst/Head of Credit Assessment to lead the credit function for a multi‑asset strategy covering private‑credit funds, direct lending and liquid income instruments. The role oversees the full credit cycle from underwriting to portfolio monitoring and risk reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth financial analysis, build base, downside and stress‑case scenarios, and evaluate pricing, collateral and recovery prospects.
• Lead operational and investment due diligence on third‑party private‑credit managers, assessing team quality, origination capability, performance, fees and conflicts.
• Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to the Investment Committee, highlighting risks and mitigants.
• Coordinate deal execution and legal documentation with counsel to satisfy all conditions precedent.
• Continuously monitor borrower and manager performance, covenant compliance, valuations and refinancing schedules.
• Maintain early‑warning indicators, manage watchlists and support restructuring or recovery actions.
• Monitor portfolio concentrations across sector, geography, manager and liquidity to ensure diversification.
• Support NAV reviews, impairment assessments and periodic reporting for management and investors.
• Contribute to credit policy development, underwriting templates and operational frameworks.
• Ensure governance compliance, including conflict‑of‑interest policies and independent credit review sign‑off.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, CPA, FRM are advantageous.
• 5‑15+ years of experience in private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, corporate/commercial banking, structured credit or related fields.
• Proven ability to prepare credit papers and present to investment committees.
• Ability to meet fit‑and‑proper and regulatory requirements.
