Senior/ Assistant Director, Contract Management

About the role

Gardens by the Bay is looking for an experienced contract management professional to lead procurement and commercial management for its development, infrastructure and exhibition projects. The role will work closely with project teams throughout the lifecycle, providing expertise to ensure sound governance, risk management and compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities for consultancy and construction contracts, including strategy, tender documentation, evaluation and award.
• Advise management and project teams on procurement strategies, commercial matters and contractual risks.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice on contract interpretation, risk allocation, variations, claims, extensions of time, dispute resolution and final accounts.
• Ensure all procurement and contract management actions comply with Gardens by the Bay’s policies and governance requirements.
• Review tender documents, evaluation reports and approval papers for completeness and compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants and contractors to resolve contractual and commercial issues and support timely delivery.
• Identify procurement and contractual risks, recommend mitigation measures and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee internal and external audits related to procurement and contract management, ensuring proper documentation and implementation of audit recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or a related discipline.
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience in procurement, commercial management, quantity surveying or contract management within the built environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, commercial management and contract administration for consultancy and construction projects.
• Good understanding of standard forms of contract such as PSSCOC, NEC or FIDIC.
