Senior Assistant Manager - Group HR Shared Services

About the role

NHG's Group HR Shared Services (HRSS) delivers efficient, accurate and employee-centric HR services across its institutions, supporting the employee lifecycle from hiring to separation. The Senior Assistant Manager leads In-Service operations across institutions, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant service delivery, while providing direct people leadership, managing complex escalations and balancing day-to-day delivery with cross-functional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead In-Service operations so that service is delivered on time, accurately and in compliance across institutions.
• Act as the main escalation and decision-maker for complex cases, cross-institution issues and operational risks.
• Ensure governance, audit and compliance requirements are met in the In-Service domain.
• Provide direct people leadership to the In-Service team, covering workload planning, performance management, coaching and capability development.
• Build team readiness and resilience to support service scale-up, operational change and institutional expansion.
• Ensure operational readiness and scalability for new institutional intake through process alignment and transition planning, with minimal service disruption.
• Lead cross-functional, cross-institution initiatives while keeping business-as-usual stable, and drive standardisation, continuous improvement and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
• 6-8 years of HR operations or shared services experience.
• Proven people leadership and team management experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale onboarding or HR shared services environments.

• Strong understanding of HR operations, onboarding processes and employment compliance.
• Stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
• Planning, prioritisation and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage operational delivery alongside transformation initiatives.
