Senior Assistant Manager – Research Support

About the role

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a motivated individual to support the administration and continuous improvement of its research systems. Working closely with the Research Systems Lead, you will ensure smooth daily operations, user management, and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for research system users and resolve functional issues.
• Monitor and manage user queries through service portals.
• Liaise with IT teams and vendors on system issues and enhancements.
• Support system testing, maintenance, audits, and change requests.
• Maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials; coordinate training sessions and communications.
• Participate in system review meetings, track follow‑up actions, and contribute to process reviews.
• Assist with grant management and research administration activities to understand workflows and system requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in systems, business, administration, projects, or a related field.
• Strong interest or experience in systems support, research administration, grant management, or process improvement.
• Fast learner comfortable with specialized IT systems; resilient, resourceful, and strong problem‑solver.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in end‑user support, research/project management, or IT application support is an advantage.
