Senior Associate / Assistant Manager, Insurance Risk Regulatory & Compliance

About the role

PwC's Risk Assurance Practice offers independent assurance and risk advice to clients, covering cybersecurity, supply chain, technology, finance, data security and privacy, and regulatory requirements. This Senior Associate / Assistant Manager position sits in Risk, Regulatory and Compliance within Risk Services, serving financial services clients, especially in the insurance sector, across Singapore and the region. The work covers audit, regulatory, listing, private placement, corporate change and other business-related advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk and accounting advisory solutions for financial services clients, including mergers and acquisitions, business plan reviews and IFRS 17 implementation.
• Deliver technical accounting advisory on new IFRS, US or other GAAP requirements.
• Carry out financial modelling, including review and build of insurance product models.
• Help embed reporting, changes to client systems, models, controls and processes.
• Support insurance advisory work such as business plans, capital allocation and management information system design.
• Prepare carve-out financial statements, align accounting policies and procedures, and support reporting systems implementation such as data specifications and chart of accounts.
• Delegate to others, coach them to deliver results, and review your own and colleagues' work for quality, accuracy and relevance.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience (IFRS 17, insurance modelling, capital management, financial modelling and projection, risk advisory) in an international public accounting firm, insurance company or consulting services.
• Additional experience in project management, modelling or reporting systems is favourably considered.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to read situations, adapt behaviour to build relationships, and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
