Senior Associate - Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services

About the role

PwC's Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services team is looking for a Senior Associate to support engagement managers in delivering accounting, financial reporting and reporting system solutions for clients across diverse industries, including financial services. The role offers hands-on exposure to complex transactions, reporting frameworks and finance technology projects, within cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new accounting and reporting standards into client systems, models, controls and operational processes, and provide end-to-end reporting system implementation including consolidation, FP&A and reporting tools
• Improve reporting processes
• Help clients prepare financial statements, including carve-outs, proforma statements and complex disclosures, and support year-end close with complex accounting calculations, invoicing and payments
• Take part in structuring financial transactions and product features from an accounting and reporting perspective
• Support clients through IPOs and other capital market activities, including developing accounting policies, improving documentation and enhancing reporting processes such as automation
• Provide technical accounting advice on IFRS and various GAAP requirements, including IFRS 9, and support the review and validation of expected credit loss (ECL) models and methodologies

Required profile

• Ideally a graduate with an accounting or finance qualification
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in an international public accounting firm or financial institution, in accounting advisory, statutory audit or financial reporting
• Strong analytical and communication skills
