Senior Associate, User Experience Researcher

About the role

DBS is looking for a Senior User Researcher with 5 to 8 years' experience to join the Research and Insights team in its Group Design unit, within the Consumer Banking Group. You will run end-to-end research studies that shape how clients and employees experience digital banking and wealth products, from early discovery through to usability evaluation of live journeys. You will report to the CBG Research Lead and own research for Wealth projects across client and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Scope research questions with design, product and business stakeholders and choose the method that answers them, deciding when research is needed and when best practices are enough.
• Run generative and evaluative research including discovery interviews, concept testing, moderated and unmoderated usability testing, surveys, desk research and competitive reviews.
• Turn findings into actionable deliverables such as prioritised insights, journey maps and opportunity framing.
• Present and defend findings to audiences from working level to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience owning the research process end-to-end.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors) or equivalent practical experience.
• A portfolio of two or three case studies showing research that changed a decision, with your own role clearly stated.
• Experience applying AI across the research workflow, and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Eloquence in communicating with senior executives; fintech experience and a background as a designer are bonuses.

• Qualitative and quantitative methods: interviewing, moderation, usability testing, card sorting, survey design and analysis, heuristic evaluations, and interpreting behavioural data.
