Senior Associate/Manager – Corporate Tax Consulting (Financial Services)

About the role

KPMG Singapore is looking for an experienced tax professional to join its Financial Services Tax Consulting team. The role focuses on delivering corporate tax advisory services to banking and insurance clients, handling complex transactions and providing strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax advisory engagements for financial services clients on mergers and acquisitions, cross‑border transactions, corporate restructuring, IPOs, tax due diligence, rulings and incentives.
• Develop tailored tax planning strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Drive business development through client pitches, proposals and participation in industry events.
• Collaborate with Tax Consulting, Audit and Advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Mentor junior team members and stay updated on emerging tax developments such as BEPS 2.0.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of corporate or international tax experience in the financial services sector for Assistant Manager roles, or 7+ years for Manager/Senior Manager positions.
• University degree or post‑graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Law; SIATP accreditation is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive client service orientation with a track record of delivering innovative tax solutions.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of Singapore tax regulations.
• International tax regulations expertise, including BEPS 2.0.
