About the role
The Senior Chef will lead the hotel catering and kitchen operations for the East region, overseeing a high‑volume kitchen team to deliver consistent food quality and service excellence. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the role combines hands‑on cooking, staff management, and cost control in a fast‑paced environment. The position works six days a week with twelve‑hour shifts at the Changi hotel site. A competitive monthly salary of SGD 4,000‑6,000 is offered.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team and daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene, safety, and service standards are maintained.
- Plan staff schedules, training, and work allocation.
- Develop and improve menus, recipes, and food preparation processes.
- Monitor food and labour costs and minimise wastage.
- Conduct regular food tasting and quality checks.
- Manage kitchen equipment, inventory, and supplies.
- Handle food allergies and special dietary requirements appropriately.
- Investigate and report food safety or quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to achieve kitchen KPIs.
