Senior Consultant - Risk and Compliance

About the role

Sia, a global management consulting group founded in 1999, is growing its Risk and Regulatory Compliance team in Singapore following its growth in Asia. The role supports the team and managers on client engagements covering anti-money laundering, know your customer, sanctions and other regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support team and managers on Risk and Regulatory Compliance projects and advisory work, delivering high-quality client service within agreed time-frames and budgets
• Take part in regulatory consulting projects such as AML, KYC, Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring and FATCA
• Help review and develop compliance frameworks, policies and procedures to address regulatory changes or fix weaknesses
• Work with clients and stakeholders on regulatory requirements
• Develop and distribute articles on emerging regulatory topics
• Prepare and present reports and recommendations to clients' senior management and regulators where needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, economics, business or law
• 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services or consulting
• Familiarity with Singapore financial regulatory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
• Project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Certifications such as CAMS or CFCS are highly desirable

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations and industry trends
• Ability to collaborate with legal, risk management and technology teams
• Experience with data analytics tools for AML and sanctions investigations is a plus
