Senior Cook

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cook to lead our kitchen team at Al Hadi Bistro. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining consistency, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, coordinating food preparation activities.
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper cooking techniques and hygiene.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, workstations, and preparation areas.
• Manage inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform additional kitchen‑related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high food quality standards.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
