Senior Cook

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cook to lead our kitchen operations on Jurong Island. The successful candidate will prepare high‑quality dishes, ensure smooth service, and mentor junior staff in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation activities.
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking procedures.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and stock rotation of food ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform other kitchen‑related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to prepare a variety of dishes while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Experience supervising or guiding kitchen staff is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Responsible, reliable, and committed to high food‑quality standards.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
