Job description
About the role
Pratt & Whitney Singapore, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Senior CORE Engineer at its component repair site in Seletar. The engineer drives functional expertise within PWCS-CAS, aligns goals with broader business strategies in CORE and transformation, and formulates, evaluates and implements short- and long-term CORE/SPS plans.
Key responsibilities
- CORE deployment: support the rollout of CORE principles across operations for quality, cost and delivery, act as CORE Champion and provide training to cross-functional teams.
- Project support: lead root cause analysis using CORE tools (5 Whys, Fishbone), support CORE projects and coordinate resources for CORE initiatives.
- CORE Control Room (CCR) implementation and internal CORE and technology process maturity, including planning, standard metrics, training, playbook development and feedback from After Action Reviews.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping and other Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
- Digital transformation: support ongoing transformation projects, deploy visual management tools such as tier boards, and design, build and deploy low-code apps with Microsoft Power Apps to replace paper forms.
- Use Power Automate to streamline approval flows and data notifications, and stay up to date on industry trends.
- Data management: ensure data structures support transformation and facilitate data collection for standard work.
Required profile
- Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 2-4 years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (fresh graduates welcome).
- Comfortable handling large amounts of data and learning new software systems (MES/ERP) quickly.
- Strong organisational skills to track timelines and manage documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail, as master data errors can stop production.
- Preferred: experience in aerospace, MRO or high-mix manufacturing.
Required skills
- Preferred: exposure to Solumina G8 (iBase-t) or similar MES.
- Preferred: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Preferred: Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
What we offer
- Career and skills development opportunities and employee scholarship programme.
- Health, medical and dental benefits, on-the-job training and certifications.
- Competitive remuneration, allowance and overtime benefits where applicable.
- Company transport provided (varies by site).
