Senior Cost Manager - MEP (Advanced Manufacturing / Commercial Buildings)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Cost Manager covering MEP projects in advanced manufacturing and commercial buildings. You will lead the delivery of cost management services from initiation to completion, covering strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, while overseeing costs, leading the team and contributing to business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Line management of cost managers and team members, including performance reviews, resource planning against the pipeline and recruiting for vacant positions
• Act as the main day-to-day client interface and lead multidisciplinary teams of clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Develop cost benchmarks, KPIs and reporting structures, and present monthly post-contract cost reports to the client
• Manage estimating and cost planning, including final cost plan revisions, value engineering and life cycle costing
• Implement cost controls within schedule, cost, risk and change management, and monitor budgets and variations
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract administration and risk management procedures, and manage invoicing in D-365
• Contribute to business development, proposals and client presentations, and share lessons learned and benchmarking data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum 10 years' experience in cost management or construction projects
• Strong communication and leadership skills with people management experience
• Client-facing experience with business development and advisory skills in value management, value engineering and life cycle costing
