Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

0G is hiring its first dedicated DevOps engineer to own its cloud platform end to end: infrastructure, deployments, networking, security hygiene and cost. The platform runs on five providers (Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare and Vercel) and includes validator, seed, RPC and archive nodes, confidential-computing workloads, Kubernetes clusters, databases, a global edge load balancer and web apps, more than 200 virtual machines.

Key responsibilities

• Cloud operations on Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud and AWS: provisioning, upgrades, capacity, rightsizing and releasing unused resources
• Kubernetes: run, upgrade and scale clusters, keep them on supported versions, design node pools, autoscaling and Spot capacity
• Blockchain node fleet: operate validator, sentry, seed, RPC and archive nodes, including peering, snapshots, sync and client upgrades
• Networking and edge: VPC design, load balancers, DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Tunnels and WAF, keeping egress deliberate and cheap
• Infrastructure as code and CI/CD: environments in Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD on Jenkins or GitHub Actions / GitLab CI, with builds, tests, security scans and releases with no manual steps
• Observability and on-call: metrics, logs, alerts, dashboards, incident response and postmortems
• Security and access: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, no databases or admin ports open to the internet
• Cost management: billing exports, budgets, alerts, tagging, monthly cost review and commitment planning
• Developer enablement: templates, preview environments, documentation and support

Required profile

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or platform roles, including 3+ years running production Kubernetes and owning CI/CD pipelines
• Production experience on at least two of Google Cloud, AWS and Alibaba Cloud, and willingness to learn the third quickly
• Track record of reducing cloud bills through rightsizing, cleanup or commitments
• Security-first habits with production credentials and clear written communication

Required skills

• Kubernetes: control plane upgrades, scheduling, autoscaling (HPA, cluster autoscaler, Karpenter), Spot, networking, RBAC, stateful workloads, Helm or Kustomize, GitOps with Argo CD or Flux
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Docker, BuildKit, Argo CD, Terraform or Pulumi, pipeline security
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, VPC design, private connectivity, troubleshooting with dig, curl, mtr, tcpdump
• Scripting in Bash, Python or Go; Linux systems administration
• Nice to have: blockchain node operation, Cloudflare Workers, Alibaba Cloud, Intel TDX, CKA/CKS or FinOps certification, Go or Rust
