Senior EHS Engineer

About the role

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore is looking for a Senior EHS Engineer for an onsite position. The company is a global centre of excellence for Pratt & Whitney services, operating in the industrial areas of Loyang, Seletar and Tuas, and has been in Singapore for more than 30 years.

Key responsibilities

• Guide employees and management in implementing corporate EHS policies and procedures so they are fully followed.
• Drive compliance with regulatory and permit requirements through oversight of the compliance calendar and standard work, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Engage line organisations in EHS programmes to raise awareness and performance against established goals.
• Steer the company toward an injury-free work environment.
• Carry out risk assessments with stakeholders and recommend risk control measures.
• Coordinate EHS emergency preparedness, including training for managers and hourly staff and drills or exercises as required.
• Provide EHS technical support in engineering development, process improvements, risk assessments, pollution prevention, chemical processing and contractor management.
• Review RA and incident reports, ensure effective investigations with root cause analysis and timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and manage an EHS audit and inspection programme and support the EHS Council with improvement projects.

Required profile

• Degree in EHS or Engineering.
• At least 5-7 years of professional EHS experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer registered with the Ministry of Manpower and Fire Safety Manager registered with SCDF.
• Experience implementing ISO management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience in a large MNC industrial facility is preferred.
• Able to work independently, under pressure and in a demanding environment.
• Good communication, interpersonal and team-building skills, with the ability to coach junior staff.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• EHS compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation and audit and inspection programme management.
