Senior Engineer, F10 TD Planning SIC

About the role

Micron is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer for its Technology Development department at Fab 10N/X. The role coordinates, analyzes and optimizes the performance of a new part within the fab, with strong emphasis on cross-team collaboration and on improving production metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop applications and processes with key team members to continuously improve production metrics
• Plan future product introductions with engineering and keep up to date on area issues, priorities and projects
• Communicate fab performance metrics to a wide group of customers and coordinate New Part Introduction (NPI)
• Set strategic and tactical plans for WIP, cycle time and priority allocations, and drive operational planning to meet critical timelines
• Develop standard processes, reports, dashboards and data visualizations, and plan, track and report on lot status
• Use statistical analysis to optimize fab performance metrics and audit manufacturing capacity, presenting findings and recommending solutions
• Research new data modeling techniques, run what-if scenarios and implement predictive models and decision tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems/Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor operations/manufacturing
• Or a Master's degree in the same fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of the semiconductor wafer fabrication process regarding capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time and efficiency
• Solid understanding of production line management, Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning) and semiconductor production floor concepts
