Senior Engineer - Field Service, Power Systems SEA

About the role

Rehlko, a global leader in energy resilience with a product range covering engines, generators, power conversion, UPS systems, EV components and microgrid controls, is looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer for its Power Systems business in Southeast Asia. The role leads on-site acceptance testing, commissioning, diagnosis, repair and maintenance at customer sites, and trains and coaches junior service engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on-site acceptance testing, commissioning, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance at customer sites
• Provide training, supervision and coaching to junior service engineers (internal and distributors)
• Drive continuous improvement in the aftermarket process and investigate customer complaints and product failures
• Provide technical support and advice to distributors and end customers
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations and company policies
• Investigate root causes of engine failures and recommend solutions
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures
• Create and maintain service reports, logs and documentation
• Evaluate distributors' and dealers' technical capability and train them in service and troubleshooting skills
• Communicate with customers, engineering, sales and customer support teams

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience
• Fair amount of travel across the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia region
• Team player with strong problem-solving and customer service skills
• Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
• Prior mechanical experience with engines (MHI, MTU, John Deere, Volvo) is advantageous
