Senior Engineer – LSR Moulding

About the role

The Senior Engineer, Moulding will lead the development and optimisation of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) moulding processes to meet high‑volume production targets while ensuring safety, quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and continuously improve LSR moulding manufacturing processes, equipment and documentation.
• Lead multiple projects, mentor junior engineers and technicians, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Production, Quality, Planning and Marketing.
• Drive scrap reduction, cycle‑time improvement and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through data‑driven analysis.
• Support mould trials, qualification, and investigate defects or customer complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer or Chemical Engineering.
• 5‑10+ years of hands‑on injection moulding experience, preferably with LSR and multi‑cavity moulds in high‑volume, automated environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving (DMAIC, 5 Whys) and decision‑making skills based on risk analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting.

Required skills

• LSR material handling and moulding machine operation.
• Automation and robotic integration for moulding lines.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5‑2018).
• Statistical Process Control (Cpk, SPC) and Design of Experiments.
• PFMEA, control plans and process validation (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA safety standards and Lean Manufacturing.
