Senior Engineer, NAND Cell Integration

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Engineer for NAND Cell Integration at its Fab 10N/X site. The role drives process and device technology development to meet performance and reliability specifications within project timelines, working with cross-functional teams to advance NAND device capability.

Key responsibilities

• Understand NAND device operation, reliability tests, product qualification and performance/reliability requirements.
• Design process experiments, segment problems and analyse data using device physics understanding.
• Develop and use AI tools to speed up learning cycles and advance NAND device capability.
• Extract and analyse inline, probe, parametric and reliability data.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address device and array deficiencies across design, process and device teams.
• Apply project management skills to small projects or parts of larger projects.
• Collaborate with product engineering, TCAD and process integration teams to improve characterization and define structural specs.
• Provide regular project status, outlook, problem summaries, actions and deliverable timelines to global cell and management teams.

Required profile

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Green Electronics, Materials Science, Physics or a related field.
• Experience in NAND, memory or advanced semiconductor technology development.
• Working knowledge of NAND technology, memory development or advanced semiconductor technologies is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, CMOS fundamentals and memory device operation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor process integration and process-device interactions.
• Understanding of yield, reliability, variability and failure analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with data analysis, statistical techniques and experimental design.
• Experience with statistical or analytics tools such as Python, JMP, Mini-Tab or Origin.
• Exposure to AI/ML-based data analytics and technology development is highly desirable.
