Senior Engineer - NAND Cell Reliability

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Reliability Engineer to work on NAND cell reliability at its Fab 10N/X site in Singapore. The engineer develops innovative NAND cell technologies to meet required performance within project timelines, characterizes NAND cell arrays and test structures to identify reliability issues, and coordinates high-volume electrical experiments that improve cell reliability with minimal impact on performance and yield.

Key responsibilities

• Risk assess NAND cell reliability and define the process, trim and test strategy needed to bridge gaps for JEDEC and internal product qualification.
• Design experiments to identify and segment the limiting reliability mechanisms affecting NAND quality.
• Design high-volume electrical experiments at wafer and component levels and perform statistical data analysis to validate process and trim solutions that close reliability gaps.
• Update management and give continuous feedback to process development and product engineers on NAND reliability status and the roadmap to close gaps.
• Contribute to the technology path for the next NAND generation, including reliability risk assessment, product capability projections and innovative design and product features needed to meet quality specifications.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements within scope.

Required profile

• PhD or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with NAND device structures, operations and algorithms.
• Understanding of electrical properties of semiconductor and insulator materials, semiconductor device physics and solid-state physics.
• In-depth knowledge of physics-based modeling of non-volatile memory, failure mechanisms and reliability analysis.
• Knowledge of JEDEC standards.

Required skills

• Statistical analysis and numerical computing software such as Matlab, Octave and JMP.
• Scripting languages such as C, C++, Matlab and Perl.
• Familiarity with big data and database queries.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy.
