Senior Engineer - NAND Validation (Product Engineering)

About the role

Micron is looking for a Senior Engineer in Product Engineering, NAND Validation, who specializes in functional and design validation of advanced NAND products. The role covers silicon and simulation-based validation, electrical failure analysis and cross-functional issue closure, with a strong focus on automation, data-driven validation and applied AI/ML techniques to improve test efficiency, coverage and debug productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute functional and design validation flows for advanced RG NAND devices using silicon and simulation platforms.
• Develop deterministic usage-case tests and random sequence generators to validate NAND commands and customer-mode features.
• Perform electrical failure analysis, carry out root-cause investigations (digital and analog circuitry) and drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Build automation frameworks using C, Python and Perl to improve test development and execution efficiency.
• Apply AI/ML-assisted techniques (data analytics, pattern recognition, anomaly detection) to accelerate failure triage, identify coverage gaps and improve random sequence effectiveness and debug prioritization.
• Use data-driven dashboards to track validation progress, defect trends and release readiness.
• Run Verilog and Synopsys VCS simulation studies to support debug and design verification.
• Share AI-enabled improvements with the team and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar or related engineering role, able to plan and lead projects or task forces.
• Relevant NAND validation projects or internships in semiconductor or similar industries.
• Able to lead silicon debug and electrical failure analysis.
