Senior Engineer, Retail and Customer Interaction Delivery

About the role

Singapore Pools, a not-for-profit organisation established in 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting, is hiring a Senior Engineer for its Retail and Customer Interaction Delivery function. The engineer leads the design, development, testing, deployment, support and continuous improvement of technology solutions within assigned systems, services, applications or platforms, ensuring deliverables meet business requirements, quality standards, security controls, operational supportability, governance and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering, development, configuration, testing, deployment and support of technology solutions in line with approved requirements, architecture standards and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership during system integration testing, user acceptance testing, release readiness and production implementation.
• Investigate complex defects and incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with business, technology, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, testing, operations and vendor stakeholders to manage technical dependencies and delivery outcomes.
• Review solution designs, code changes, test coverage, deployment readiness and defect remediation against engineering standards and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, support documentation and operational run books.
• Report progress, risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans, and drive continuous improvement in maintainability, resilience, performance and quality.
• Independently deliver complex engineering tasks and guide junior engineers on practices, troubleshooting and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or an IT-related discipline, with at least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise, retail or customer interaction solutions, including guiding junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery practices.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining client-server applications (Web, Windows), REST APIs, WPF, mobile apps and CMS such as Drupal.
• Strong experience in production support, incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis and technical problem resolution.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate technical work across cross-functional teams and vendors.

• Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate
• Unit, integration and system test planning and execution; testing methodologies and automated testing tools are an advantage
• DevOps experience is a plus
• Source control tools such as Git, SVN or TFS
