Senior Engineer - Wet Process Development, NAND

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Engineer for Wet Process Development in its Fab 10N/X facility. The engineer supports the rapid deployment of advanced NAND technology nodes by developing and optimizing wet processes, improving process margins and troubleshooting yield and quality issues in partnership with Process Integration and other process areas. The role covers defined workstreams within a wet process module, with experiment execution and analysis delivered with increasing independence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize unit wet processes to meet yield and quality requirements of advanced NAND part types.
• Quantify the benefits of innovative process and equipment solutions to enable early experimentation and adoption for margin improvement.
• Initiate and manage experiments to widen process margins and validate manufacturability of next-node solutions.
• Integrate and troubleshoot processes in cross-functional teams driving yield and quality improvement.
• Work with Boise TD peers on technology choices for upcoming nodes and identify disruptive processes early.
• Support fundamental research, hardware evaluations and testing for novel applications, and contribute to IP generation where applicable.
• Take part in supplier engagement workstreams and incorporate best-known manufacturing methods into early development of upcoming nodes.
• Design and implement process monitoring and control methodologies, maintain experiment records and technical reports, and follow Micron's IP protection policy.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• PhD, or Master's degree with at least 3 years, or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Strong foundation in chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics and mass transport.
• Cross-functional collaboration, concise communication and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• DOE / SPC and data analysis systems (e.g., Y3) to analyze experimental outcomes.
• Working knowledge of memory process flow (planar and vertical NAND context).
