About the role
Rockwell Automation is hiring a Senior Engineering Assistant for a one-year contract position based in Singapore, reporting to a Manufacturing Lead. The role covers daily maintenance, troubleshooting and support of automation equipment in the Final Assembly area, with possible conversion to a full-time permanent role.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in daily autonomous maintenance of the automated glue and thermal paste machine
- Perform daily self-tests on the automated tester (ATE)
- Troubleshoot line issues related to fixtures, testers, equipment and the automation line
- Help perform monthly maintenance on the automation line and assist with line changeovers between products
- Support daily operational issues in Final Assembly, including testers, assembly lines and machines
- Conduct preventive maintenance on fixtures and calibration checks on torque drivers
- Help implement improvements in Final Assembly processes, support automation modifications and process enhancements
- Help with equipment setup, safety buyoff and operational readiness
- Create work instructions and process documentation, and support corrective and preventive maintenance including root cause analysis
- Participate in ECN meetings and updates on FA processes, label processes and layout drawings
- Possible: support label modifications for FTPC/Table 2/SAP systems, label buy-offs, SharePoint requests for label and laser artwork, and collaboration with the Global Label Team
Required profile
- Diploma or ITE in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline
- Proficiency in equipment installation and machine troubleshooting
- Able to support night shifts when needed
- Candidates without work experience are welcome to apply
Required skills
- Knowledge of C++, C# .NET and PLC programming is an added advantage
