Senior Executive, BSL3 Facility (LKCMedicine)

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is part of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership. Its BSL-3 Facility is a research-focused biocontainment unit in the Experimental Medicine Building that supports research and diagnostics involving Risk Group 3 pathogens. The Senior Executive supports laboratory operations, biosafety and biosecurity compliance and enables safe, efficient research in the BSL-3 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operations of the NTU LKCMedicine BSL-3 Facility with operational, administrative and biosafety compliance support for research involving RG3 pathogens
• Assist with experimental activities
• Maintain facility inventory and documentation
• Coordinate facility users and supporting procurement

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences or equivalent
• Strong understanding of Singapore biosafety regulations and infectious agents
• Minimum 6 months in a BSL-2 laboratory; animal handling experience is advantageous
• Good team player, motivated, willing to learn, with a strong work ethic

Required skills

• Knowledge of disinfectants and sterilants, and awareness of aerosol exposure risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication
